What is A2 Gir cow ghee?

A2 Gir cow ghee is clarified butter made only from the milk of indigenous Gir cows, using the traditional Vedic bilona method. It is valued in Ayurveda for its purity, aroma and nourishment.

What is the bilona method?

Gir cow milk is set into curd, churned with a wooden bilona to separate the butter (makhan), and the butter is then slowly heated into ghee. This slow process gives the ghee its grainy texture and rich aroma.

How is Gopalak Farms ghee different from regular ghee?

Our ghee is made from curd, not cream. The curd is hand-churned and the makhan is simmered in small batches. Most regular ghee skips the curd step and is made with industrial methods.

Is your honey raw and unprocessed?

Yes. Our wild forest and tulsi honey are raw and unpasteurised. They are never heated and contain no added sugar, preservatives or artificial flavouring.

What does wood-pressed (kachi ghani) oil mean?

The seeds are pressed slowly in a traditional wooden kolhu at low temperature, without chemicals, bleaching or refining. The oil keeps its natural aroma, colour and nutrients.

Why does A2 Gir cow ghee cost more than regular ghee?

The bilona method is slow and labour-intensive, and it takes many litres of Gir cow milk to make one litre of ghee. Gir cows also give less milk than hybrid breeds.

How should I store ghee and honey?

Keep the jars tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and always use a clean, dry spoon. Ghee does not need refrigeration. Raw honey can crystallise naturally in cold weather; place the jar in warm water to make it liquid again.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, shipping is free on orders above ₹1,499. Delivery charges for smaller orders and the available payment options are shown at checkout.
